Wishing New Jerseyans well in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, former President Bill Clinton did a robocall for U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) today.
“I hope your circumstances will allow you to participate,” Clinton says in the robocall. “I hope you’ll support Bob for re-election.”
Menendez backed Hillary Clinton over Barack Obama in the 2008 Democratic Primary.
Clinton successfully campaigned for another longtime ally this year, helping U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-9) to victory in his June Democratic Primary.
Former Congressman Andy Maguire has filed paperwork to run in the 5th Congressional District.
