Let me get this straight. State agencies spend thousands of dollars to "advertise" via sponsorships on NJN - a television netweork that no one watches, and David Wald is upset that this Web site (which has thousands of visitors a day) gave free space to a genuinely important public service announcement for the "click it or ticket" program.

Perhaps Zulima's mouth piece fails to recognize just how important it is for motorists to be sure that their seat belts are buckled.

For that matter, maybe Mr. Wald should have buckled his seat belt when he went to the AG's office after not being offered the job in the front office.

More than Zulima Farber, I am saddened at the actions of David Wald.

Ten years ago, Wald was the premier reporter of New Jersey politics and government. His articles and columns in the Newark Star-Ledger were respected and feared by government officials and politicians. And read and admired by citizens.

Wald used to be a shining exemplar of the true principle of freedom of speech.

Unfortunately, Wald is now just another censor who tries to suppress speech rather than letting it flourish.

Regardless of what this site it, why can't it have a link to an existing state program?

If the program is good, then there's no problem. If the program is bad, then that's the state's problem.

Quite frankly, this is a freedom of speech issue. Anyone has the right to link to anyone else on the web. The fact that some Democrats would seek to curb this freedom due to the corrupt practices of Farber is a chilling fact.

It is a fact that Hitler succeeded because pacifist governments let him rise to power and slaughter six million Jews despite warnings to the rest of the world from Winston Churchill that he was a madman. It is a fact that Pearl Harbor was attacked because the Japanese government viewed The United States as pacifists who had no desire to fight. It is a fact that Arab Terrorists hijacked planes to destroy our symbol of ecomnomic strength killing 3,000 Americans in the process because we were viewed as pacifists due to the fact that during the eight year time frame from when the first WTC attack took place to 9/11, terrorists were attacking American interests in places like Kenya and Tanzania in 1998 and the USS Cole in 2000 and showed neither the intention nor desire to fight back.

Pacifism is NOT nor has it ever been a solution to America's or the rest of the world's problems. Peace through strength is the only effective way to protect America from its enemies.

P.S. mojo, for your information, Marion Morrison was John Wayne's real name. I'm sure whoever Marion is uses this name for the same reason I use Dean Martin's real name which is because he/she remembers a time when Hollywood celebrities loved this country and were thankful for the rewards they were able to reap here.

War and killing are horrible things.

While in combat soldiers learned to kill or be killed.

We are at war.
We must kill or be killed. It sucks!
We did not kill 3000+ innocent people on 9/11, the terrorists did.

If you have a way to solve the current problems in the world without a violent act-you deserve all that life has to offer.
