Assemblyman Herb Conaway, M.D.

CONAWAY WELCOMES BODINE AS NEW VOICE
FOR BURLINGTON COUNTY IN MAJORITY CAUCUS

(BURLINGTON) - Assemblyman Herb Conaway, M.D. today welcomed Assemblyman Francis L. Bodine's decision to join the Assembly Majority Caucus where he can provide an enhanced voice of advocacy for Burlington County residents.

Conaway praised Bodine (D-Burlington) as a well respected veteran legislator who has a proven record of accomplishment on issues affecting senior citizens, veterans, and middle-class suburban families.

"Assemblyman Bodine's bottom line always has been about public service and not partisan politics," said Conaway (D-Burlington).  "I have always enjoyed working with Assemblyman Bodine and now that he is a fellow caucus member, I am certain that our working relationship will be that much stronger."

"With the addition of Assemblyman Bodine to our caucus, Democrats now have a 50-30 majority," said Conaway.  "This is our biggest majority since 1979 and I have every confidence that our representation from Burlington County will continue to grow."

Assemblyman Bodine is a U.S. Army veteran who was first elected to office in 1977 as a Moorestown councilman.  He previously served as mayor of Moorestown and as a Burlington County freeholder.  He has been a member of the General Assembly since 1994.
