GORDON STATEMENT ON GOVERNOR CORZINE'S BUDGET ADDRESS
(TRENTON) - Assemblyman Bob Gordon (D-Bergen) today released the following statement on Governor Jon S. Corzine's budget address to a joint session of the New Jersey Legislature:
"The Governor has put forward a sound fiscal plan that is worthy of support by Republicans and Democrats. He understands the financial pressures of New Jersey's suburban households and his budget proposal reflects that by increasing state aid for schools and municipalities.
"This budget provides the largest amount of property tax relief in state history for New Jersey homeowners and tenants.
"It's a budget that should win favor on Wall Street and Main Street."
