(TRENTON) -- Assembly Majority Leader Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-Mercer) today released the following statement after learning of the passing of Yolanda King, the eldest daughter of the late civil rights activists, Coretta Scott King and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.:
"Yolanda King was born to a legacy of civil rights leadership that helped shape our country.
"This exemplary woman dedicated her life to advancing her father's dream of racial equality, peace and nonviolence through her work as an actress, producer and motivational speaker.
"As our nation mourns her passing, we must look inside ourselves and use the life and works of Yolanda King as inspiration to continue to end prejudice by promoting love and tolerance.
"My thoughts and prayers today are with the entire King family."
