Assembly Dems will spend $300k in 11th
By Wally EdgeDemocrats will spend about $300,000 over the next ten days on television commercials supporting Assembly candidates John Napolitani and John Pimat in the eleventh district, according to state Democratic sources. John Villapiano, the Democratic Senate candidate, will not be included in the ads funded primarily by the Assembly Democratic leadership PAC.
The Democratic source says they have polling that shows GOP candidates David Rible and Mary Pat Angelini have not yet closed the deal on the two open Assembly seats, and they believe there is an outside shot for Pirnat, a teamster official who hosted National Teamsters President James Hoffa in Monmouth County this week, and Napolitani to possibly sneak in.
The campaign will conduct tracking polls this week to see if the advertising, which includes New York network television, is making a difference.
Democrats acknowledge that Republican Assemblyman Sean Kean, who is seeking the State Senate seat being vacated by Joseph Palaia, will easily defeat Villapiano, who served in the Assembly from 1988 to 1992.

How about Napolitani's mother socking $100,000 into his campaign at the last hour. Is she allowed to do that? She is not living in his household. How about Pirnat claiming they are "People Not Politicians" in their TV Ads. Isn't he an ex-politician from Interlaken? I don't use "ex-" loosely. His own town didn't even re-elect him. How about them bad mouthing Marypat Angelini and saying she's corrupt? Together, both of them aren't worthy of even shining her shoes. What a joke. A Teamster boss, taking campaign money from Jimmy Hoffa, Jr. calling Angelini corrupt. Now ask the African-American community in Asbury Park about his racist comments, using the APEA website to post political advertisements and leaving his wife and children high and dry for a fellow teacher in the district.
