FREEHOLDER BOARD HAS CONSISTENTLY PLACED TAXPAYERS FIRST WHILE OPPONENTS HAVE CONSISTENTLY PLACED THEMSELVES FIRST
While the Freeholder board cut the county property tax rate each year for the past 23 years, Vasquez didn’t pay property taxes.
Burlington County Freeholder Dawn Addiego said today that a comparison of the board’s record with that of her opponents “presents convincing evidence that the Freeholder board has consistently placed taxpayers first while our opponents have consistently placed themselves first.
Addiego and her running mate Aubrey Fenton listed the following record compiled by their opponents, Amy Vasquez and Dean Buono:
While the Freeholder board cut the county property tax rate each year for the past 23 years, Vasquez didn’t pay property taxes.
While the Freeholder board cut the property tax rate each year for the past 23 years, Vasquez actually had a warrant issued against her for failure to pay state taxes.
While the Freeholder board enacted one of the strongest codes of ethics in New Jersey, Buono was busy gathering up no-bid contracts in five municipalities.
“Moreover, Addiego and Fenton said, “under the Republican-controlled Freeholder board, Burlington County is the state wide leader in preserving open space and farmland and the county’s recycling program was just recently designated as the best in the state.
“From tax reductions, to fiscal responsibility, to ethical conduct, to protecting the environment, the Freeholder board has led the way, Addiego and Fenton said.
“Contrast these accomplishments with the ‘me first’ record of Vasquez and Buono, they said. “We serve the taxpayers, while they serve themselves.
