Provisional ballot counting is done in Passaic County and it's good news for incumbent Assemblyman Tim Eustace (D-38).
Following provisional ballot tallying in the Bergen portion of the district last night, Eustace led Republican challenger Joe Scarpa by 44 votes.
Following tallies in Hawthorne, Eustace has added five votes from Hawthorne to go up to a lead of 49 over his challenger.
GOP sources say there is sure to be a recount, pointing out that from the start their plan was to challenge any result differentiating the candidates under 100 votes.
