Burlington County Freeholder Aimee Belgard, a Democrat, is set to announce her candidacy for Congress, according to sources in Burlington County.
The Star-Ledger reported this morning that U.S. Rep. Jon Runyan (R-3) won't pursue a third term in Congress.
Runyan was reportedly disgusted with the Tea Party in his caucus and has had enough, according to a source close to the congressman.
An attorney from Edgewater Park, Belgard has quit her job to focus fulltime on the race.
