U.S. Rep. Jon Runyan (R-3) added his name to the roster of Republican congressmen endorsing GOP candidate Steve Lonegan for U.S. Senate.
"We need more people in Washington who are willing to talk straight with the American people and tackle the very serious economic and fiscal problems facing the country, instead of sweeping them under the rug," said Runyan. "I am confident that Mayor Lonegan would do just that as Senator and that's why I am endorsing him today."
"It is a great honor to be endorsed by Congressman Runyan," said Lonegan, the former mayor of Bogota. "He has been a fighter for the people of New Jersey and I look forward to working with him to lower taxes, cut spending, and reduce the size of government."
Congressmen Frank LoBiondo (R-2), Scott Garrett (R-5), Leonard Lance (R-7), and Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-11) have all issued endorsements of Lonegan.
Former Paterson Mayor, Lawrence "Pat" Kramer, today endorsed Jose "Joey" Torres for mayor of Paterson in the May 13th nonpartisan election.Read More >

“Unfortunately for the governor, the investigation appears to be turning him into a more polarizing figure. As recently as late last year, his approval numbers were consistently bigger than his disapproves - by a pretty big margin - and more voters liked everything about him than disliked everything about him. One of the defining characteristics of the governor that makes him a nationally sought after Republican is his widespread appeal in a Democratic state. Bridgegate continues to erode that asset.” - FDU Poll Director Krista Jenkins.- PolitickerNJ.com
