JERSEY CITY - Among the supporters of Jersey City Mayor Jerry Healy tonight at Casino in the Park was Peter Zampella, former Jersey City councilman and former Hudson County freeholder.
The 90-year-old retired politician who now lives in Arizona received a warm welcome back to Jersey City from the Healy crowd.
Hudson County Democratic Organization Chairman Mark Smith introduced him from the stage.
"It's a close race so they brought in a powerhouse," said Zampella's daughter, Jeannine Zampella.
President Barack Obama will return to New Jersey next week to tour the Jersey Shore with Gov. Chris Christie.
