RIBLE STATEMENT ON PROJECT LABOR AGREEMENTS
Assembly Republican Conference Leader Dave Rible, R-Monmouth and Ocean, issued the following statement regarding today’s Assembly approval of S-2425/A-3679 which pertains to Project Labor Agreements (PLAs):
“This legislation is a political fight involving the senate president and labor that the Assembly should not be in the middle of. I would welcome the opportunity to work with the building trades on a compromise solution that balances the interests of the interested parties on this issue.
“My decision not to support the bill put before the Assembly reflects my belief that it should never have been brought before this House for a vote. If a dialogue that includes everyone affected in this matter takes place, I believe it can be worked out fairly.”
