The communications director for the New Jersey Republican Party, Doug Mayer, is preparing to leave his post at the state GOP.
When contacted Monday Mayer confirmed his planned departure after working at the state committee for about a year. The spokesman will be joining the communications staff of South Carolina Republican Gov. Nikki Haley.
Mayer told PolitickerNJ he was grateful for the opportunity to work with the state GOP and is looking forward to taking up his new position in the Palmetto State.
