STAFFORD TOWNSHIP – Gov. Chris Christie told residents here today that actor Alec Baldwin donated $250,000 to the Mill Creek Community Center in Manahawkin.
The governor shared the story during his town hall in Stafford Township, saying the liberal actor called Christie shortly after Superstorm Sandy and asked how he could help.
“I can’t believe I’m actually doing this,” Christie joked, adding, “Thank you Alec Baldwin.”
Christie said the Sandy relief charity First Lady Mary Pat heads has collected about $31 million so far.
