O’Toole: “Senate Democrats Acting Like Dictators, Abusing Their Power”
By bschnure | December 20th, 2012 - 5:01pmSenator Kevin O’Toole (R- Essex), a member of the Judiciary Committee, issued the following statement regarding the unprecedented rejection of the nomination of Frederic Knapp for Morris County prosecutor:
Today’s actions by Senate Democrats, suspending Senate rules to reject a perfectly well-qualified nominee without any debate and without so much as a hearing, are to be expected from a third-world dictatorship, not the New Jersey Senate. Their actions are an affront to the state constitution and the oath which we have all sworn to uphold.
