AMODEO RESOLUTION HONORING NATIONAL GUARD
FOR SERVICE DURING SANDY STORM RELEASED
BY COMMITTEE

A bipartisan Assembly resolution sponsored by Assembly Deputy Republican Leader John Amodeo that recognizes the efforts made by New Jersey’s National Guard during Hurricane Sandy was unanimously approved by the Military and Veterans’ Affairs Committee today. The bill, AR-119, acknowledges the great debt of gratitude owed to the men and women who selflessly served the citizens of New Jersey on October 29, 2012.

“New Jersey’s National Guard should be commended for the flawless way it carried out its duty to protect the people of this state during one of the worst storms in our history,” said Amodeo, R-Atlantic. “Many of the guardsmen and women left their own homes and families behind in answering the call to serve. It is fitting that we acknowledge the men and women who put service before self and thank them for their dedication and commitment.”

Other Assembly sponsors of the resolution include: Assemblyman Ralph Caputo, Assemblywoman Cleopatra Tucker, Assemblymen Gilbert Wilson, Joseph Egan, Lou Greenwald and Anthony M. Bucco and Assemblywoman Pamela Lampitt.
