Mercer County Democratic Committee Chair Elizabeth M. Muoio issued the following statement in response to the 8-count indictment against Mayor Tony Mack:
"For the sake of the city he says he loves, Tony Mack must resign. His ongoing legal troubles have critically affected the ability of Trenton City government to effectively deal with the safety, fiscal, education and other crises currently plaguing its residents. Time is of the essence, and the only way for Trenton to move forward is for Mack to put his city first and do the right thing and step down."
Former Congressman Andy Maguire has filed paperwork to run in the 5th Congressional District.
