HASBROUCK HEIGHTS – Bergen County Democrats say they’re edging closer to taking control of two county freehold seats.
If the two Democrats vying for the county positions clinch the election, Democrats will regain control of the Bergen County Board of Freeholders.
“We’re a half hour away from taking control,” said Lou Stellato, chairman of the Democratic Committee of Bergen County, who just announced the two candidates are 9,000 and 7,000 votes above their Republican contenders, including GOP incumbent Rob Hermansen.
“We’re not done yet,” declared Stellato, adding the momentum seems to be in their corner.
“This is all good news,” he said.
