U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell is projected to win his 9th District contest over Republican Rabbi Shmuley Boteach.
Pascrell was expected to hold onto his seat after a bruising primary against U.S. Rep. Steve Rothman, who was a victim of the decennial redistricting process.
Pascrell won that race going away as his Passaic County base came out in force.
Rothman's hometown was redistricted into the 5th District, but rather than challenge Republican U.S. Rep. Scott Garrett in the Republican-leaning district, Rothman chose to take on Pascrell.
