NBC calls NJ for Obama

Despite massive confusion over email and fax voting by residents displaced by Hurricane Sandy, New Jersey has as expected been called for President Obama.

The state carries 14 electoral votes.  

There are potentially thousands of votes that won't be counted in the state until the end of the week owing to a decision earlier today by Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno to extend the deadline for emailed and faxed votes until Friday at 8 p.m.
