BELLEVILLE - A smattering of people were present at 7:30 p.m., at Sen. Joe Kyrillo's election night party at the elegant wedding hall, Nanina's in the Park.
Most of the round tables, decorated with patriotic balloons, were empty, as most of the attendees were circulating, treating themselves to hor's doeurves. Kyrillos isn't scheduled to arrive for at least another half hour. Heavy traffic on both the Parkway and the Turnpike is causing some delays.
A cover band played ditties, such as the Beatles' " Eight Days A Week," Train's "Drive-by," and Barry White's "Can't Get Enough of Your Love."
