Paterson Mayor Jeff Jones said the city Housing Authority has equipped senior centers with generators to compensate for lack of electrical power.
But there's another problem.
"Gas is the big issue now," the mayor told PolitickerNJ.com.
The backup generators don't have enough.
"We've begun conversations with schools to make schools food distribution centers," Jones said. "Now we are in the process of getting the food. OEM is trying to get food transported to the schools. Seniors need to eat now."
