President Obama making his way to N.J.

President Barack Obama is airborne and en route to New Jersey to survey damage from the storm in Atlantic City with Gov. Chris Christie.

The president boarded marine one shortly after noon as he heads to Andrews Air Force Base to fly to the Garden State, according to pool reports.

Obama, wearing khakis and a dark windbreaker, boarded the helicopter with FEMA director Craig Fugate.

Once Air Force One touches off the ground the president will embark on a 45-minute flight to Atlantic City.
