TRENTON – Gov. Chris Christie announced Ed Dickson as the new director of Homeland Security and Preparedness. Former director Charles McKenna replaced Jeff Chiesa as chief counsel to Christie.
Dickson is a 25 year veteran of the Federal Bureau of Investigation who was appointed Special Agent in Charge of the FBI-Newark office in 2001 following the September 11 attacks. He filled that position until 2004, and Christie said they had a good working relationship while the governor was serving as U.S. Attorney.
