Baskerville-Richardson defeats Padilla by 44 votes

Antoinette Baskerville-Richardson has defeated Tave Padilla by 44 votes to earn the third seat on the Newark Schools Advisory Board.

Essex County Clerk Chris Durkin said Baskerville-Richardson is scheduled to be sworn in tomorrow, along with fellow winners Eliana Pintor Marin and Alturrick Kenney.

Baskerville-Richardson led by 55 votes after last week's machine voting, and held on to win following tonight's provisional ballot count.
